Tanya Byrne was born in London and now lives in Brighton with her dog, Frida. She has written three novels, the first of which earned her a nomination for New Writer of the Year at the National Book Awards.
Her short story, HACKNEY MOON, was recently included in A CHANGE IS GONNA COME, an anthology of short stories and poetry that was named Children’s Book of the Week in the Sunday Times.
Her next book, FLOORED, a collaborative novel with Sara Barnard, Holly Bourne, Non Pratt, Melinda Salisbury, Lisa Williamson and Eleanor Wood, is out in July.
Tanya is also a freelance journalist and has written for The Guardian, The Pool and The Big Issue.
